About

Justin is a New York-based media industry professional who really likes theater, theme parks, and pretty much all forms of entertainment. Is the name of this site slightly presumptive? Probably. Who’s to say what constitutes an insight and if Justin is capable of generating any, let alone just insights and nothing else. If this so-called bio has taught you anything it’s probably that there may be more Justin than insights around here, but hopefully you’ll stick around and we can find out together.

Familiarity Ratings

Many articles on this site will contain familiarity ratings. These should give you a sense of whether you’ll enjoy a given post by indicating how familiar you should be with the material discussed within. If a rating recommends familiarity with a show, it will indicate the minimum degree of familiarity that I think will lead to enjoyment of the article. But you’re your own person, you should read what you want to! These ratings are just to serve as guidance.

Here are the familiarity ratings you will find throughout the site:

  • None – You don’t need to know anything other than how to read to enjoy this article!
  • Heard of it – You’ll benefit from a base level of familiarity with something that’s key to the article.
  • Listened to it – In the case of musicals or other music-related topics, the recommendation here is that you’ve listened to a specific soundtrack or song.
  • Seen it – You’ve seen the relevant piece of content, whether it be a theatrical performance, movie, tv episode, etc. These articles may contain spoilers and they’re usually more deep-cut discussions that assume familiarity with the topic.

More details will always be provided on a given article, but these categories will help you get the most out of your adventures on the site!
